IFYR Partners with Montana Silversmiths to Award Top Youth Rodeo Athletes

The International Finals Youth Rodeo (IFYR) proudly announces a new partnership with Montana Silversmiths, which will award top athletes with exquisite custom prizes. The IFYR returns to Shawnee, Oklahoma, July 6–11, bringing together youth rodeo’s premier competitors for six days of elite action.

Now in its 33rd year, the IFYR is one of the world’s richest and most prestigious youth rodeos, awarding more than $250,000 in prize money across 11 performances. The event annually attracts nearly 1,000 athletes from more than 35 states and three countries.

New in 2025, Montana Silversmiths will present an exclusive lineup of champion, go-round buckles and Top 15 pendants. Buckles will be awarded to the winners of the first and second go-rounds in each discipline.

Performances begin Sunday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m. and continue through Friday, July 11, with the final round also set for 7:30 p.m. Events are held simultaneously across three arenas.

“The IPRA has been proud to partner with Montana Silversmiths for several years, and we are thrilled to continue this partnership at the IFYR. Every Montana Silversmiths buckle tells a story, and we are honored to help tell the stories of our IFYR champions,” explained IFYR and IPRA General Manager Dale Yerigan. 

Competitions include cowgirls’ barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping and goat tying, as well as team roping, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, saddle bronc riding and bareback riding. The format includes two long-go rounds and a short-go round featuring the top 15 contestants in each event.

In 2024, the IFYR awarded nearly $250,000 over six days and featured close to 1,000 entries from three countries and 35 states.
