SHAWNEE, Okla. – Ahead of the 2024 International Finals Youth Rodeo (IFYR), the organization has announced the roster for the six-day event, featuring over 1,100 entries from 32 states and provinces. This diverse group of participants will gather in Shawnee, Oklahoma, marking the 32nd year of the IFYR. The event, set to take place July 7-12, will be one of the richest youth rodeos in the sport, paying upwards of $320,000.

“If you have any doubts about the future of rodeo you need to attend the IFYR,” said IFYR General Manager Dale Yerigan.” I’m amazed every year with the talent of these athletes and the level of competition of this legendary event. We have seen an endless list of cowboys and cowgirls that come through Shawnee and go on to make their mark in college and professional rodeo. This wouldn’t be possible without our great corporate partners and the incredible dedication of all our volunteers who give up their vacation time to ensure everyone is taken care of when they arrive at the IFYR. I can’t thank them enough.”

Yerigan also added that last year’s event paid out over $300,000 in cash plus prizes.

Known for its prestige and competitive payout, athletes will compete to take home one of the 13 coveted titles. Athletes in 10 disciplines—bareback riding, cowgirls breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, pole bending, goat tying, barrel racing, bull riding, and team roping—will compete for their piece of the $320,000 purse.

The event will feature 11 performances, beginning Sunday, July 7, at 7:30 p.m., with the final performance taking place Friday, July 14, at 7:30 p.m. Each day will feature a morning and evening performance starting at 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.. The event will consist of two long-gos and a short-go, comprising the top 15 contestants in each event.

Youth rodeo’s top stars will compete under the lights of Shawnee. Headlining the competition are reigning All-Around Cowboy Mason Stueve and All-Around Cowgirl Brooke Crenshaw, as well as reigning IFYR champions Ryker Butler, Jasper Frost, Kasey Bass, Colton Brumley, and Collin Rolands.
