ROUND TWO KICKS OFF IN CHAMPION STYLE

SHAWNEE, Okla. – In an impressive morning performance, the 32nd annual International Finals Youth Rodeo (IFYR) highlighted top talents from across the globe. 

In the barrel racing, Georgia cowgirl Maddie Gail Carver (Cataula, Georgia) laid down a lightning-quick run of 16.171 seconds, the fastest time of the rodeo thus far.

 Lone Star State cowgirl Hadley Spence (Venus, Texas) continued her winning ways from round 1, making a second run of 20.252. With a total time of 40.792, she has positioned herself well in the average race.  

Courtney Carbajal (New Smyrna Beach, Florida) turned heads in the breakaway roping arena, becoming the quickest cowgirl of performance 6, with a 2.2-second run. 

In the goat tying, all eyes were on Kaydence Smith (Comanche, Okla.), as she laid down a solid 7.3-second run. 

Round 1 steer wrestling champ Kreece Dearing (Chico, Texas) flexed his all-around cowboy muscles, and took the lead in the tie-down roping as well, with a 8.1-second run in performance 6.  

In the steer wrestling, Garrett Keeling (Lexington, Texas) took the lead in performance 6 with a smooth 5.4 second performance. 

As the only cowboy to make it to the 8-second whistle, Cooper Lane (Keller, Texas) marked a 73.0 point ride. Tennessee cowboy Tate Papszycki (Cumberland Furnace, Ten.) covered his second bareback rinding horse in style, marking 72.0 points. 

Team ropers Cort Peterson (Albany, Texas) and Peyton Cooper (McCaulley, Texas) laid down the quickest run of the performance with a smooth 6.1-second run. 

In the bull riding, Jack Mitchell (Weatherford, Texas) set the bar high, as the only qualified ride at 85.5 points. 

The rodeo action will continue with the start of round two, performance seven taking place at 7:30 p.m. at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center, and will continue through the evening of July 12. A full list of results can be found HERE.
